Education

12th pass by the notified cut-off; specified DEO posts can add a Science-with-Mathematics condition.

Age

The recurring general band is commonly 18–27 years, subject to the current notice, post and category relaxation.

Nationality

Use the nationality/citizenship clause and required eligibility certificate in the current notice.

Post-specific condition

Typing or data-entry speed is a selection stage, not an optional add-on. Practise accuracy before chasing speed.

Documents

Names, dates, category, qualification and photo identity must be supported in the format and by the cut-off prescribed.

How to verify your own eligibility

  1. Open the latest official notice for the correct year.
  2. Find your post or post group before applying a general rule.
  3. Compare your result date and subjects with the qualification cut-off.
  4. Calculate age on the notice’s reckoning date—not on today’s date.
  5. Check category, physical, medical, skill, licence or experience conditions.
  6. Keep the original certificates and matching details ready for document verification.

Eligibility is not the same for every post

LDC/JSA, DEO and other higher-secondary posts included in the current examination notice. A candidate can be eligible for one post but not another within the same examination. Post preference must therefore follow eligibility, job requirements and document readiness.

Important: Do not submit a post preference merely because it appears in the list. A later document, physical or subject check can cancel candidature for that post.

Eligibility FAQs

Can final-year candidates apply?

Only when the notice permits it and the candidate possesses the required qualification by the stated cut-off date.

Does registration confirm eligibility?

No. OTR or a submitted form does not replace post-wise eligibility verification.

Which document date matters?

The notice states the qualification and age cut-offs. Read those clauses together with certificate-format instructions.
